Hello, hobbits!

Miss Rozalinde's friend Ronwenna seems to have caught the acting bug. She performed in "The Green Ladies" and in "The Tribe of Hildorien"... who knows what will be next?

But anyways, Miss Roz was thinking that a fall theatre festival would be a lot of fun-- for after Weatherstock, of course. It could be the last week of September, say Sept. 25-Oct. 4. Molly Bayberry put the suggestion forward to the Lonely Mountain Banders, and on the Turbine forums for Laurelin, to catch the notice of any prospective playwrights. Of course we'd love to see Miss Sageflower's play performed, and any others she has written.

Do any of you hobbits like theatricals? What about a duo performance of a poem? A pageant, recreating a scene from history with appropriate costumes? Anything like that would be wonderful!

If you have an idea, let Roz or me know.

I love this idea! I would love to participate in this festival, both as an actress and as a playwright/directress. I told Miss Tay a while back that I've been hatching an idea for a small play about two mischievous hobbit brothers.

I also love the suggestions of poetry performances and historical re-enactments. There are many great possibilities.

I also love this idea. If my schedule allows in September, count me in!

While I don't anticipate seeing "Tribe" as a play actually happen, the storytelling version is certainly available. Mirkir has also recently performed (at Ales & Tales) and while it may take some fancy footwork I can certainly arrange both to happen.

I noticed that the LMB has the following on their weekly news:
Lady Mornawen seeks Playwrights for her upcoming Fall Theatre Festival. The Fest is tentatively set to run September 25th through October 11th and folks with short and long works are encouraged to participate!

Just thought I'd mention it, as the dates seem extended from the OP here.
