I suggest that one of our Halloween parties can be in the Old Forest. That is a reasonably spooky place, and is low level as well. There is an actual haunted house in Mirkwood. That would be good, too (better, in my opinion). But, it is hard to reach for low level kinnies. We would need some captains or summoning horns.
I am hoping there is a Halloween raid, like the summer picnic raid. We should defnitely run that!
This is what I have in mind so far, and any of it can change if other ideas are brought forth.
costume contest night ride party in the Barrows ...and more
We start in the Old Forest, it's spooky and the young'uns will be safe enough.
Do some kind of event, probably Costume Contest.
Then we'll get word of a Hobbit trapped in a scarier place - The Haunter Barrow. This person needs rescuing or a least talking down.
Then we ride like headless Hobbits (you might even say 'grumpy Hobbits') to the Party Tree. - porting would be fine too if enough of us have maps, etc. - it's important to have it be dark when we ride, the forest will be dark at all times but we may have to push things around to get from point A to B while it's night.
There we'll find our person having gotten not but around two corners, right near the entrance! - There is a place in the Barrow just around the corner from the entrance that is large and not in a traffic area at all. In fact no one will even know we're there unless they look around instead of run to the next door.
At this point I am less concrete in my scripting the party. Ideas are always welcome.
Here are a few ideas: - scary story contest (I have mine written) - sardines in the Barrow is always fun - go into Bilbo's nicer rooms of the smial and give away 'candy' to passing strangers. This would be like trick-or-treat and we'd use our party prizes, of which there are plenty.
Hello all! Ok so I'm more active now as I no longer work 60-80 hrs. a week with my new job! I was curious if I might be allowed to join, as the last time I attempted to do so resulted in a rather embarrassing happenstance of me>
>having to suddenly end the interview due to my old job calling. I never followed up because I thought it was so rude of me. Allow me another chance? :)
